Eleven Ways to Make Potato Wedges Even More Amazing
Few foods are as delicious and comforting as the classic potato wedge. As much as we love a simple wedge with our favorite dipping sauce, there are a million ways to eat this delectable dish. Here are 11 of our favorites.
Loaded Potato Wedges
Spread potato wedges on a pizza stone or cookie sheet, cover with cheddar cheese and bacon crumbles. Bake at 400°F for 5-6 minutes. Remove and top with chives and dollops of sour cream.
Chili Cheese Fries
Place wedges in cast iron skillet or in a deep pan. Pour chili over the wedges, and sprinkle with cheddar cheese. Bake at 400°F for 5-6 minutes. Top with pickled jalapenos for an extra kick!
Rosemary Potato Flatbread
Drizzle olive oil over a flatbread. Sprinkle chopped potato wedges, chunks of goat cheese, parmesan shavings and rosemary on top. Bake at 350°F for 10-12 minutes. Add caramelized onions, mushrooms or crumbled bacon if you fancy a few more toppings.
Fill a warm flour tortilla with chopped potato wedges, scrambled eggs, bacon and cheddar cheese. Roll into a burrito and serve with salsa, sour cream and avocado slices.
Garlic Parmesan Wedges
Place potato wedges in a large bowl and coat with garlic butter, freshly-grated parmesan cheese and parsley, as well as, a dash of salt and pepper. Toss together, bake at 350°F to reheat and serve.
Toss chopped potato wedges in olive oil, salt, pepper and garlic. Throw into an oiled skillet on medium-high heat and cook until crispy.
Drizzle olive oil over potato wedges, then top with feta cheese, fresh parsley, Greek olives, pepperoncini and tzatziki sauce. Serve with fresh lemon wedges.
Broccoli Cheddar Wedges
Cook broccoli with the seasoning, of your choice. Place on a cookie sheet with potato wedges and cheddar cheese. Sprinkle cheddar cheese and bacon crumbles on top, and bake for 10-15 minutes at 350°F.
Place chopped potato wedges, caramelized onions and sautéed mushrooms on top of a bed of greens. Drizzle with your favorite dressing – we recommend balsamic.
Jalapeno Popper Wedges
Wrap potato wedges and jalapeno shavings together with strips of bacon. Bake at 350°F for 10-15 minutes. Sprinkle with cheddar cheese and broil for a minute or two. Serve with Creamy or Chipotle Ranch dipping sauce.
Toss potato wedges with warm buffalo sauce. Serve with carrots, celery, ranch and bleu cheese dressing.
